Where does your dog spend the day?

Where are they when they’re alone?
This is the one people forget. If your dog is shut in the kitchen while you’re at work, that’s the room doing the heavy lifting for separation-related behavior.

Common layout mistakes
Does more than one in the same room help?
No. Two diffusers in one room doesn’t double the effect — the room reaches a stable concentration and stops. You’d be spending twice as much to treat the same space while another room gets nothing.
If you have a spare, put it where your dog sleeps.
Multi-dog households
More dogs in the same room doesn’t require more diffusers for that room — the pheromone is in the air and available to all of them. What multi-dog homes usually do need is broader coverage, because multiple dogs tend to use more of the house and tension often flares in specific spots: doorways, feeding areas, the sofa.

Planning for refills
Whatever setup you choose, each diffuser consumes its own refill. Two diffusers means two refills running down at the same rate. Refills last about 60 days each when used as directed.
