Hand out a whole chip or snap it into small pieces for training, small dogs or seniors. You can also crumble chips over wet food for some crunch, or offer them from an open palm to dogs that grab. Treats are not a complete diet, so feed them alongside your dog's regular food, keep fresh water out, and ask your vet about dogs with special diets. Reseal the bag after opening.

Farm to Pet suggests 2 to 4 chips for small dogs, 5 to 7 for medium dogs and up to 10 for large dogs. Each chip has about 7 calories.
